Wow I actually got tagged for a meme…..this is the first time I’ve been tagged. What fun!
But I must first confess, I think meme is the weirdest word…….it sounds like a name for your grandma, not a little game you play with your blogging buddies. Doesn’t, “I am going to meme’s house tomorrow,” sound more natural??? 🙂
Anyway thanks to Amy at Laughing Through the Tears, here are 8 random things about me…….
#1 – I love to be outside, I always tell my kids when I am old, just wheel me outside on a nice day and I will sit contently in my wheelchair for hours!
#2 – I enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning with entirely too much half and half in it. My favorite brand of coffee is Green Mountain, and I am not a Starbucks fan!
#3 – I had braces when I was 16, and then some 20 stinkin’ years later the same problem occurred and I had to get braces again as an adult……….and this time I had to pay for them, not my mom and dad!! So now I wear 2 hot pink retainers to bed every night in hopes of never having braces again.
#4 – I became a christian when I was 18 by reading a tract!
#5 – I have been a Washington Redskin football fan since 6th grade.
#6 – Some of my all time favorite movies include – The Sound of Music, To Kill a Mockingbird( the version with Gregory Peck), The Truman Show, and Glory Road
#7 – I have been a public school teacher for 20 years……..ahhhhhhhhh, that is a long time!
#8 – My mom was a elementary school teacher
#9 – I actually enjoy teaching Jr. High Sunday school.
#10 – Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are one of my favorite vacation spots. I remember hiking up the side of a cliff/mountain many years ago, sitting at the top and enjoying the glorious view of the ocean, and eating the wild Maine blueberries that were growing all around us.

Meme is actually pronounced meem. It is a weird word still! I love #4! My husband and I go to swap meets for cars and we put out tracts and Bibles for the taking. I always wonder if the tracts get read or not. This gives me hope!
My daughter and I LOVE The Sound of Music! We watch it practically every month. We also love Anne of Green Gables. Have you ever watched that? You need to if you haven’t!

I have not watched Anne of Green Gables, but my sweet hubby had a date night with dear daughter and the 2 of them watched it together one night. She loved it, and so did my husband! 🙂
Oh my goodness, my first tag! I feel so very honored. Truly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you! I will let you know when mine is up… it may take a few days. We just got back from an almost week long trip and my house looks like it exploded. Why does that happen almost instantly coming back from a trip?? Anywho, thanks again! 🙂
