Yesterday SportTman had a try-out for an elite AAU travel baseball team. It started at 8:00am and went to almost 4:00.
If he was the one trying out, I am wondering WHY was I so nervous??? This is only for a 13 u team, it’s not like the Olympics or Major League Baseball. 🙂
He plays a showcase game on Wed. night, and then at some point will find out if he made the team or not? I guess I will be nervous……..again!
He seemed to handle it all better then I did. We said all the right things to him, like it’s ultimately in God’s hands, it’s a great experience for you even if you don’t make the team, you can still play for your regular travel team, have fun with it, and meet some other baseball loving boys. I guess he believed it…..now I just need too.

It is so tough when you have to pump them up and you’re not sure you believe what you’re saying. It sounds like a fun opportunity for your son. Baseball, like all the sports is almost year round!
I hope he’s not too disappointed if he doesn’t make it. I know when the kids were Bible quizzing I was so nervous I would tense up and be really sore the next day. But you are right, God’s plan is perfect. He knows what’s best for us.
