I am a bit of a slacker here, I was tagged by Angie at Proverbs 31 Wannabe for this meme awhile back and I am just now getting to it. However don’t take my lackadaisical attitude as confirmation that this isn’t a good meme. It’s one of the best, it causes me to think about what I appreciate most about serving Jesus, and that folks is a good thing to ponder!
#1 – That he is the way the truth, and the light, and no one comes the the Father except through Him! I know this can be controversial at times, since non-christians can not imagine that God would be so intolerant and only make ONE way to get to heaven. But the bible makes it clear that Jesus is the only way, and I guess if you have trouble grasping that fact, you will have to deal with the unfortunate consequences. ( John 14:6)
#2 – That he took time to care for the women at the well, and continues to care for us in the same manner. John 4
#3 – That he reminded the disciples when a storm blew in with out warning while they were on a boat, “You of little faith, why are you afraid?” A reminder to me to not be afraid during the storms of life that blow my way. ( Matthew 8:26)
#4 – That Jesus wants those who are weary and burdened to come to him, and He will give them rest. ( Matthew 11:28)
#5 – That on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered they did NOT find the body of the Lord Jesus!! ( Luke 24:1-3) He is the risen Christ!
There are obviously many more things that I appreciate about Jesus, but my humble list just scratches at the surface of vast and endless things we can cherish about Jesus.
So I need to tag some blogging girlfriends, I am not a big fan of tagging, so I will just list a few friends, and if you have time ladies please feel free to do this meme……it is a gem. 🙂
Beautiful Grace – I haven’t even added this wonderful women to my blogroll yet, but I LOVE her heart of gold to serve the savior!
Laughing through the Tears – She just had hip replacement surgery ( she is a youngin and had to have this done) and has such a positive and gracious attitude through the entire ordeal.
Classic Mama– always a good read, she has a way with words and conveys her love for the Lord in such an insightful manner. And besides that, she currently has a hilarious picture of her son posted on her blog, you should check it out.

Thanks for calling me a youngin even though I am older than you! This is a good meme and I promise to do it, but I want to think about it first. Too bad we’re limited to five, but I don’t want to break the meme rules…lol!
