V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N!! What a great word!
We are back from a 5 day stay in Bethany Beach, Delaware! We are so blessed that we can stay at my sister-in-laws, dad’s trailer. It works so well for our family, with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, and 2 bathrooms, it’s hard to go wrong. It’s about 3.9 miles from the beach. Yes, we are they type who measure these things!
Anyway, we had such a nice family time! We purposely don’t let the kids bring friends on vacations, this way they are stuck hanging out with each other, and mom and dad. 🙂 Tricky aren’t we??!!! So we make the most of our time and do lots together! We all rode in the waves together at the ocean, rammed each other with bumper cars on the boardwalk, ate too much junk food, played arcade games, watched this movie, which we all liked, and we played football on the beach together one night, while the moon was out.

I got up early each morning and went to the beach. I brought my iPod along so I was singing to Jesus also.

How fun! The wave riding looks like a riot. I’d love an ocean beach vacation.
The issue of bringing friends on vacation has never come up for us. The kids have never asked. Although this year we did make strict guidelines about texting friends and when it could be done while we were on vacation! My daughter, the one with the phone, was very respectful of it, so all was good.
Sounds a lot like our Daytona Beach vacation last month – WONDERFUL!
Oh I agree about “not bringing kids friends on family vacation so family can bond – parent and kids.’ If only I my husband would agree 😉

Oh, we love going to the beach each year, but we go up to Rehobeth Beach, or Lewes Beach. We had a great time too!! And as soon as the boys get out of school, we are on the road!!!
