I have been so busy shopping, baking, going to basketball games, attending music programs etc that I have not been blogging much…..so sorry, I know there is much to catch up on.
But something has been on my mind all week since church last week……this song.
O come, all ye faithful,
Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem;
Come and behold him,
Born the King of angels;
O come, let us adore him,
O come, let us adore him,
O Come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord.
Baking toffee, coffee spice bars, peanut butter/cornflake squares, mint oreos dipped in chocolate, sugar cookies, lots of baking, mixing fresh ingredients, wrapping presents while the cookies are in the oven…busy….busy….busy. The laundry pile is always growing…..baking, cooking….oh my
O come, all ye faithful,
Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem;
Shopping, so much to buy, trying to get the best deals, being creative, oh and I must get my Christmas cards finished and in the mail. I don’t want them to arrive AFTER Christmas! Sales, bargins, surprises for the kids, finding the elusive stocking stuffers….much to do.
Come and behold him,
Born the King of angels;
SportTman’s basketball games too, fun activities for my students, crafts to get ready for school, oh more shopping, stopping at the outlet to check out a going out of business sale, volunteering at our local rescue mission with the Inventor and her friends, more basketball, SportTman’s birthday fun.
O come, let us adore him,
O come, let us adore him,
O Come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord!
.…O come, let us adore Him……O come, let us adore Him. Yes, those 6 simple words are truly ALL that really matters. They have been ringing and singing in my mind all week. And heck, even singing aloud at times, and that isn’t always real pretty, but that’s ok. 🙂
Amidst this busy time of year, I have been constantly reminded this week to simply, Come and Adore Him!
Yolanda Adams – Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful
