I was sitting in my tiny little laundry room matching socks yesterday. I was pondering if I should call eHarmony to come find a good match for all my single socks!
As I was matching socks, I was also sipping my delicious hazelnut coffee. The coffee somehow seemed to make the dreaded task somewhat more enjoyable! It was then in the midst of my matching frenzy that I was reminded that it is those little things in life that can mean so much.
A little coffee some how makes matching socks a bit more tolerable.
A kind word, an assuring hug, a note of encouragement, a few moments of alone time, chocolate, fresh flowers, homemade cookies, a new candle, prayers of God’s people.
Little, Simple things. Little things with a BIG impact. Sometimes it is just those little things that can make a BIG difference in someone’s life.
Wife to my sweet husband who was diagnosed in 2010 years ago at age 46 with Alzheimer's. Walking the journey with our two adult children with our eyes on God. It ain't always easy, but God is in it!

Loved the thought of calling eHarmony for matching socks as you sipped your coffee sorting them. My lab Molly’s breathy snores at my feet make me smile and I’m grateful my faulty WLAN card and Mozilla are letting me visit blogs without crashing this morning.
Hugs and blessings,
You cracked me up with eHarmony. Let me know if it works. LOL.
Little simple things really do mean a lot. It made me think that even in relationships like a marriage relationship or a parent/child relationship how the big gifts are great but it’s the everyday, simple, little things that really show love one to another.
Simple little things for me? A moment alone, getting a chance to sleep in for just a half hour, coffee with a friend, a kind word just at the right time, something being done without me asking for it to be done.
