Oh I have so been missing the Friday Fave Five this summer. Just been so busy and out of a routine. My summer plans for of lots of blog posts does not seem to be coming to fruition! But I thought I would squeeze in a quick Friday Fave Five this evening…..yep, I know it’s late on Friday but I am determined to make it happen!
I have been busy transforming my dining room, from a messy storage room to an actual dining room. As you can see from the before and after shots I am finally making some progress! 🙂 It has taken longer than I hoped ( don’t all projects like that always take longer than you thought!)
A few days at the beach is always a favorite. The waves were W.I.L.D the one day we were there, it felt more like a white water rafting trip than a day at the beach. Regardless, the beach is always fun and enjoyable in my eyes.
Spending time with a high school friend at a local quarry. The kids had a great time and we got to hang out and catch up. It made for a nice, relaxing day.
Fleas………ok, so you are wondering WHY the heck I listed Fleas on here. WELL………apparently Dawn dish detergent works quite well to get rid of fleas. Our dog has fleas and has been driving us all looney with her itching. We read online about giving the dog a bath with Dawn, and it has worked wonderfully. Cheap too!!!!
Had my annual “women appointment” and “passed” with flying colors. 🙂 I also have not really gained any weight in the last 4 years. That is something to motivate me to keep working out! 🙂
Wife to my sweet husband who was diagnosed in 2010 years ago at age 46 with Alzheimer's. Walking the journey with our two adult children with our eyes on God. It ain't always easy, but God is in it!

I love when you post! Looks like you have had lots of fun this summer… We have had a good one too… not really ready for it all to end on Monday…but there it always next summer! We are heading to our State Fair today and then next Thursday after work I am heading your way..NYC to see my oldest dd! yippee! Have a great day!

YAY for you not gaining weight in 4 years…sadly, I have put on 6 lbs since last year’s annual. I blame it on the French food in Paris…lol…I am starting a full fledged workout program on Monday…pray i stick with it!!

Our little doggie had fleas too. Cost us a fortune though. I switched her flea meds…flea bathed her at the shop. Had my bug guy spray for fleas in our house and had our grass company spray the yard for fleas. I am not wanting to see anymore. Yuck. Not as cheap as your defleaing. Ugh
